3 April: Where’s the action?
iGB, in partnership with sports data specialist Abelson Info, is providing an updated list of the sporting events taking place each weekday throughout the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
This will ensure our readers have a regularly updated roster of the sporting events happening that day. The format has been tweaked, with a full table of the day's action at the bottom of the page.
Basketball
There are a number of basketball events taking place across China, Taiwan and for the first time since this round-up started, in Tajikistan.
Football
The Belarus Premier League returns today, as does Burundi's top football division.
Greyhounds
As ever, the US and Australian tracks where races are to be held are not listed, due to the races starting after Abelson's 10:59am cut-off.
Horse Racing
We see the racing schedule expand today (3 April), with events at Singapore's Kranji Racecourse, and an expanded number of US fixtures. The bulk of the action is taking place in Australia, however, across 23 courses.
Ice Hockey
Belarus' Extraliga is the only competition running today.
Table Tennis
Eastern Europe remains the focus of all table tennis action, with events taking place in Russia, Ukraine and the Czech Republic.
Volleyball
The day's final sporting event is amateur-level 3 vs 3 volleyball games in Southeastern Asia.
