IMG Arena nets extension with Brazilian basketball league

IMG Arena, sports betting data division of sports media giant IMG, has signed a six-season extension to its live streaming partnership with the Brazilian Liga Nacional de Basquete (LNB).

Under the agreement, IMG Arena will continue to live stream coverage of games from the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB), the top-tier basketball competition run by the LNB.

The renewed deal covers an increased number of NBB matches, as well as games in the Copa Super 8, with live streaming available in markets around the world.

“The vote of trust received by IMG Arena, the leading provider to the sports betting industry indicates that NBB has been delivering, year-on- year, a more solid and relevant product within the sports business,” LNB president Nilo Guimarães said.

IMG Arena vice president and managing director Freddie Longe added: “Basketball is one of the most popular sports in the world and our investment in one of the world’s fastest growing basketball leagues demonstrates our commitment to ensuring high quality content for our sportsbook customers.”

The extension comes after IMG Arena last month also entered into a long-term live betting streaming and data agreement with World Table Tennis (WTT).

The deal grants sports betting operators access to content across all table tennis events run by the WTT, including the World Table Tennis Championships.
