ManBetX becomes Real Madrid’s Asian partner
ManBetX has added to its LaLiga sponsorship by becoming Real Madrid’s regional partner for Asia.
The deal will run for two years, covering the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons, with ManBetX to serve as the club’s new regional sports betting sponsor in the sports across the majority of the continent.
Real Madrid said the partnership will allow it to connect more with fans in Asia, but the agreement will also benefit ManBetX in Spain.
Earlier this year, ManBetX agreed a deal to become the Asian betting partner of LaLiga, which operates the top two divisions of club football in Spain.
Real Madrid legend Emilio Butragueño, who is director of institutional relations for the club, said: “It’s a great honour for us to link our name to such a highly prestigious international brand leader. This union will further enable us to move closer to our fans in Asia”.
ManBetX is also the main shirt sponsor of English Premier League club Crystal Palace and previously agreed to become an international presenting partner of the Italian Serie A top-tier in Asia.
Away from football, the operator has had commercial deals in place with World Snooker as part of its wider marketing efforts.
Real Madrid and rivals Barcelona have also extended sponsorship deals with another online betting company, Tempobet.
The ‘six-figure’ deal will allow Tempobet to advertise at the away games of the two LaLiga clubs for the remainder of the 2018/19 La Liga season, except in matches against Sevilla and both El Clasico fixtures.
