SBTech and Wynn among latest Colorado licensees
Colorado’s Limited Gaming Control Commission has awarded a further round of sports betting licenses, with SBTech, Betfred and Churchill Downs among the latest to be approved, while the state remains on track to launch from May 1.
Yesterday’s (16 April) commission meeting saw sports betting master licenses handed to American Gaming Group’s (AGG) Wildwood Casino, while GF Gaming Corporation was approved to offer betting at The Famous Bonanza and Easy Street Casinos.
Grand Z Casino, Johnny Z Casino and Z Casino Black Hawk also received master licenses.
ISI Race & Sports (ISI), which announced a partnership with Wildwood Casino in March, has been granted temporary sports betting operator licenses for that venue, Johnny Nolon’s and Colorado Grande. It has also been granted an internet betting license in the state, to roll out its Amelco-powered offering.
SBOpco, the operating company behind Nevada-based SuperBook, has been handed sports betting and internet betting licences, days after it partnered Jacobs Entertainment to bring the brand to Colorado.
Betfred, meanwhile, has been handed retail and online licences. The operator will enter the state in partnership with the Saratoga Casino in Black Hawk, agreed in January.
Also licensed was Churchill Downs, which will operate retail and online sportsbooks for Full House Resorts’ Bronco Billy’s Casino. Another Full House partner, Wynn Resorts, was awarded an internet betting license via its WSI US subsidiary.
