Star Sports launches on Two-Up Digital platform

Star Sports has launched its first online sports betting site in partnership with new platform provider Two-Up Digital

UK retail bookie Star Sports has launched its first online sports betting site with new platform provider Two-Up Digital.

Star Sports owner Ben Keith said: “We have long been looking to move online but not by compromising our commitment to first class customer service. Two-Up Digital has a fresh approach with a flexible platform that enables us, for the first time, to take our core company values into the online sports betting market.”

The new site Starsports.net is now live and fully operational following two months of intensive beta testing, including during the biggest gambling event of the year, last month’s Randox Health Grand National, when it successfully settled more than 150,000 bets placed on almost 65,000 events.

Founder of Two-Up Digital, Robbie Morris (pictured), who launched the company after previous employer Grand Parade was acquired by William Hill, said:

“Our competitors’ technology platforms, including some of the biggest providers out there, are built on old, legacy technology that is unable to deliver the speed-to-market service that today’s operators want and expect.

“By taking a fresh, up-to-date approach, utilising technology standards adopted by the social media giants, we’re able to offer a platform that delivers much higher levels of flexibility, scalability and ultimately, a better customer experience for both operator and front-end user.”
