Danske Spil’s Youbet launched
Danske Spil has launched its new gaming and betting brand Youbet in its home Danish market.
The platform, which is powered by SBTech, has been developed to target fresh sports betting demographics in the country with a focus on technology and pricing.
Danske Spil, the Danish state lottery, said it is keen to provide a platform to match the expectations of the growing market in the country, with GGRs across sports, online and land-based casinos and gambling machines in Denmark at €792m ($980m) in 2017.
Niels Erik Folmann, chief executive of Danske Spil (pictured), said: “Danske Spil has executed a very strong strategy in terms of maintaining our market share since regulation in 2012, exceeding all market expectations.
“We are now taking the next step towards faster growth by adding a new brand to our portfolio, targeting players who demand a deep sports and casino offering.”
Youbet is built around SBTech’s sportsbook engine, and features such as Action Betting, Add2Bet and Pulse. Danske Spil selected SBTech’s Chameleon360 iGaming platform because of its player management services, analytics, anti-money laundering and responsible gambling features, regulatory reporting and payments.
Folmann added: “SBTech showed a profound understanding of our needs during the RFP process. The sportsbook and casino platform looks good, as does the roadmap for new features, meeting our need for a partner that will drive the success of our new brand through cooperation and co-creation.”
The new site will feature a casino hub that includes more than 1,000 titles.
Richard Carter, chief executive of SBTech, added: “This partnership is another major milestone for SBTech as it establishes itself as the leading provider of fully managed platform solutions and services to state lotteries and major operators in regulated markets worldwide.”
