1 April: Where’s the action?

iGB, in partnership with sports data specialist Abelson Info, is providing an updated list of the sporting events taking place each weekday throughout the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

This will ensure our readers have a regularly updated roster of the sporting events happening that day.

Football

With no basketball taking place today, we start on football, where the action is focused on Nicaragua. In the Central American country, Premier and Youth League games are being played today (1 April), along with some club friendlies.

Golf
In golfing action for the day, the Cactus and Outlaw Tours, both held in Arizona, continue.

Greyhounds

Horse Racing
Today’s racing marks the first weekday in which the action returns to China, specifically Hong Kong’s Sha Tin Racecourse. The track was given last-minute approval for the meet on Sunday. We also see a new track added to the US schedule – Flordia’s Tampa Bay – and activity across a number of tracks in Australia.

Ice Hockey
As before, the day’s ice hockey action is taking place in Eastern Europe, in Belarus and Russia.

Table Tennis
Today’s action closes with table tennis, and two events in Russia.
