14 April: Where’s the action?
iGB, in partnership with sports data specialist Abelson Info, is providing an updated list of the sporting events taking place each weekday throughout the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
This will ensure our readers have a regularly updated roster of the sporting events happening that day. The format has been tweaked, with a full table of the day's action at the bottom of the page.
Basketball
Today's basketball takes place in China, where the Professional Basketball League and its reserve league will play today, and Chinese Taipei, where the Super Basketball League continues.
Darts
The Icons of Darts Live League continues today, after David Evans won the first week of the competition, and is joined by A Night at the Darts.
Football
Today's only matches are in the Belarus Reserve League, taking place at 10:30am tomorrow (15 April).
Golf
As with last week, today's golfing action takes place in Arizona, where the Outlaw Tour's Arrowhead Classic begins its second round, and the Cactus Tour event second round takes place in Union Hils.
Greyhounds
Almost all of today's greyhound racing takes place in Australia, save for some events at Florida's Naples Fort Myers track.
Horse Racing
Like greyhound racing, Australia contributes the bulk of today's events, though there is also action in Nebraska and Oklahoma in the US, and at Japan's Kawasaki Racecourse and at Rättvik in Sweden.
Ice Hockey
The day's only ice hockey is in short form, as Russia's continues.
Table Tennis
Eastern Europe continues to dominate the table tennis schedule, with the Czech Republic's TT Star Series, Russia's Liga Pro, and Ukraine's Setka and Win Cups having fixtures scheduled for today (14 April).
Tennis
Russia's Liga Pro is the only competition running today.
This list is not intended to be exhaustive, and all events are subject to change. iGB is working on adding an esports component to this round-up.
