The week’s esports fixtures: 11 to 17 June
iGB, in partnership with Bayes Esports Solutions, is proud to present a regular list of fixtures for some of the most popular esports competitions, helping operators looking to expand into the esports market while the traditional sports calendar has been significantly reduced.
This week the Huya DarkHorse League’s fourth season tops the fixture list, with 28 matches taking place. That event, which takes place in China, began today (11 June), and runs to 22 June. It sees six teams compete in a mini-league, with the top four ranked teams advancing to a playoff round.
Next up is a Dota 2 event, the BTS Pro Series 2020 Southeast Asia, for which season two kicked off on 5 June, and concludes on 20 June. This takes in ten teams from across southeast Asia in a round robin format, with Malaysia’s Geek Fam currently leading the way with four wins, four draws and no defeats.
In third is the League of Legends-focused LEC 2020 Summer. This German tournament begins on 12 June, with a round robin format in which each team plays 14 times. The playoffs then run from 22 August to 6 September, with the top four teams qualifying for the 2020 World Championship, the highest profile League of Legends event of the year.
