DFS operator FantasyHub ‘temporarily suspends’ operations
Daily fantasy sports (DFS) website FantasyHub has “temporarily” suspended its operations, leaving users unable to access their accounts and funds.
Visitors to the website on February 19 were greeted with a message that said the service would be unavailable and that it is in “discussions with a strategic third party regarding the future of FantasyHub and its players”.
Although FantasyHub pledged to issue more updates via email, the operator later said in an email to customers that “due to advice from counsel, we cannot divulge many details but we have been in discussions with a strategic third party regarding the company and are now finalising those discussion”.
The operator said it could not go into further detail “at this time”, but pledged to be in touch “very soon with full information”.
FantasyHub was founded in 2014 and has raised over $200,000 (€180,000) for charity through its fantasy sports contests.
