Betfair scores Barcelona partnership
Betfair has entered into a partnership with Spanish Liga football club Barcelona.
The deal will run for three seasons, from 2016-17 to 2018-19.
Betfair will serve as one of the club’s official global partners and gain access to a range of image association rights.
The betting operator will also benefit from branding exposure inside Barcelona’s Nou Camp home stadium as well as access to players for promotional campaigns.
“FC Barcelona is delighted to sign a long-term collaboration agreement with Betfair, a prominent leading company in the field of sports betting,” Barcelona’s vice-president of marketing and communication, Manel Arroyo, said.
“We hope our members and all football lovers will enjoy this new global partnership, as well as exclusive promotions and unique sporting experiences.”
Paul Gambrill, director general of Betfair, added: “We are delighted to have signed a long-term partnership with Futbol Club Barcelona. Barcelona are consistently competitive at the top level and will help us achieve our ambition of growing the Betfair brand internationally.
