Intralot US pens long-term deal with Idaho Lottery
Intralot has extended a lottery gaming system services agreement with the Idaho Lottery in the US.
The deal, brokered by Intralot’s US subsidiary, will run from October 2017 to September 2027, with an option to extend for up to a maximum of two additional five-year terms.
The system will deliver, manage, and account for all in-state and multi-state draw games, inventory control and logistics for the full complement of scratch games, and other related services.
The contract is valued at $60 million (€56.5 million).
“This decision allows us the opportunity to improve our technology, provide quality services to our players and retailers, and continue protecting the security and integrity of our games here in the Gem State,” Idaho Lottery director Jeff Anderson said.
“There has been a tremendous amount of work and research done by all the parties involved during the process.”
Nikos Nikolakopoulos, interim chief executive of Intralot and chief operating officer, added: “We are happy and honoured to have submitted the most competitive offer and to have the opportunity to continue to provide our services to our valued client.
“We are looking forward to building further on our experience and our trusted relation by means of an enhanced products and services offering that meets the modern era needs of the Idaho Lottery and helps our client generate stronger returns for the good causes it supports while promoting and serving the principles of responsible gaming.”
