Inspired secures virtual sports deal with Finland’s Veikkaus

Inspired Entertainment has agreed a virtual sports partnership with Finnish national betting agency Veikkaus.

Under the agreement, Inspired will supply a range of virtual sports products to Veikkaus land-based sports betting locations and the agency’s website.

Inspired secured the contract via a public request for proposal (RFP) process.

Owned by the Finnish government, Veikkaus holds an exclusive betting licence on lotteries and sports betting in the country.

Steve Rogers, chief commercial officer digital games, at Inspired, said: “This is a significant and strategic deal for Inspired's growing virtual sports business.

“Winning the RFP to supply our world class virtual sports products to the Finnish national betting agency is testament to the quality and commercial viability of our products, and offers a significant opportunity for further growth within the Scandinavian lotteries.”
