Amaya rebrands as The Stars Group

Amaya, the parent company of PokerStars, has rebranded as The Stars Group.

Common shares in the company will now trade under the name ‘TSG’ on the Nasdaq Global Select Market and ‘TSGI’ on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Plans to carry out the rebrand were first announced in May and shareholders voted in favour of the move at the firm’s Annual General Meeting in June.

In addition to a new name, the firm has adopted a fresh corporate logo and will launch a new website to reflect the move.

The rebrand coincides with the relocation of the company’s head office to a new site in the Canadian city of Toronto.

The Stars Group will release its financial results for the second quarter of the current year later this week.
