Golden Nugget launches online and mobile sportsbook in NJ
The Golden Nugget Atlantic City has launched its online and mobile sportsbook in New Jersey, with the SBTech-powered solution featuring markets on a range of different sports and competitions, as well as a number of special features.
The digital offering is live for customers via GoldenNuggetCasino.com, with new users offered a $50 (£38/€44) risk-free bet as an incentive to sign up. It also comes with a range of unique features to engage customers, including Golden Lines, which offers odds boosts on certain bets each day, and Parlay Boost, a feature that increases winnings on accumulators by up to 20%.
The sportsbook will also feature Match Tracker, which supports in-play wagering by providing punters with player and team statistics, an interactive visual display of gameplay and a menu of all available live bets.
While the launch of the online sportsbook comes more than six months after the New Jersey sports betting market opened, this mirrors Golden Nugget's online casino launch. This too went live after the majority of its competitors, but has not stopped the operator growing to lead the market. It generated igaming revenue of $104.8m in 2018, more than a third of the state's $298.7m total.
In July of last year, Golden Nugget struck a multi-state sportsbook supply deal with SBTech in July last year, covering its venues in New Jersey and Biloxi, Mississippi. SBTech launched land-based sportsbook offerings at the Atlantic City and Biloxi properties in September 2018.
“We have worked with our partners Scientific Games and SBTech to bring the best that an online casino and sportsbook can offer to New Jersey players,” Thomas Winter, SVP and general manager of Golden Nugget online gaming, said.
“The website and apps look really nice, early feedback from patrons is extremely positive and we look forward to adding more innovative features to make the player’s experience even more exciting and rewarding in the coming months.”
