Norsk Tipping launches sportsbook tender

Norsk Tipping has launched a tender process to select a platform provider for its sports betting offering.

The Norwegian state-owned operator aims to have the new system in place ahead of next year’s Euro 2020 football tournament, and as such is looking for a partner to handle the delivery, implementation and integration of a new solution.

The contract is divided into three lots, with the first including the sports betting solution, the second sports data feed services and the third a streaming solution.

The new contract would start from October 21, 2019, running until 2025, with the option for three 24-month contract extensions following the expiry of this original period.

Norsk Tipping’s current sports betting offering is powered by Scientific Games, with a range of games offered under a variety of different brands.

Currently Norsk Tipping customers can access pool betting under the Tipping brand, and in-play wagering via Liveoddsen. Fixed-odds betting is offered through Langoddsen, and a predictions-based game, Oddsbomben, is also available.

Interested parties now have until May 3 to submit proposals or register their interest in competing for the contract.

It comes as Norsk Tipping continues to enhance and develop its online offering, having first moved online through an agreement with GTECH – now International Game Technology (IGT) – in 2014.

In 2018 alone it struck a number of supply deals, including an online bingo deal with IGT, an instant win games deal with Novomatic Lottery Solutions, and a contract with Scientific Games for the provision of online casino games and instant win titles, followed by a third contract
