Bet365’s Sub On Play On sees £18,000,000 paid out in a single month

After going live last month, Bet365 customers are loving Sub On Play On with millions already paid out.

On 11 March, Bet365 announced the introduction of Sub On Play On (SOPO), the latest addition to the brand’s global portfolio of football promotions. Since then, over 250,000 customers worldwide have benefitted from the offer, with more than £18 million paid out.

Commenting on the promotion – and the mammoth payouts – Bet365’s sports and trading expert Steve Freeth said: “It’s been a really good addition to our portfolio and it’s been well received by our customers, having paid out just over £18 million over the first month.

“In total, 3.2 million slips have benefitted from the promotion, with Aston Villa proving the costliest team in the Premier League.”

Sub On Play On joined Bet365’s existing products to form an amazing roster of offers for its customers. Put simply, if your player gets subbed, your bet plays on… and Bet365 customers have been celebrating big wins across multiple competitions. As recently as the Easter bank holiday weekend, punters would have delighted in some winning slips thanks to Sub On Play On.

How has SOPO benefitted Bet365 customers this last month?
Arsenal fans, dismayed by Bukayo Saka’s 57th minute exit through injury in the Gunners’ 4-0 victory against Ipswich on 20 April, were able to celebrate in the 88th minute thanks to Sub On Play On. Customers that had backed Saka to score anytime would have seen their bet confirmed as a win thanks to Ethan Nwaneri’s late strike, after coming on as the England man’s replacement and scoring.

However, it is Aston Villa who have been the real kings of the Sub On Play On offer after just over a month since the promotion’s 11 March launch.

Freeth continued: “Villa fans must be rubbing their eyes at the quality that Unai Emery has to turn to when changing the game, and we’ve seen some big payouts in recent games versus Nottingham Forest, Southampton and Newcastle.

“Our most expensive payout to date was £1.4 million, paid out on the Forest game to be exact when Marcus Rashford replaced Ollie Watkins on 62 minutes and then had a shot on target which caused the real damage, while Jota Silva coming on for Anthony Elanga and scoring added to the pain.

“Against Southampton not only did we see Watkins, (replacing Rashford) fulfil ‘to score first/anytime’ markets as well as having a shot on target, we also saw fellow substitutes Donyell Malen (for Jacob Ramsey) and John McGinn (for Morgan Rogers) scoring in a 3-0 victory. And then versus Newcastle we saw Amadou Onana and Ramsey coming on for the popular pair of Marco Asensio and McGinn, only to see the Belgian international score a piledriver and the Englishman being booked!”
