Playbook Fusion and Bet365 celebrate the launch of Playbook Football World Cup as fans gear up for football’s biggest tournament.

Playbook Fusion, the boutique games studio pioneering a new genre of gaming products at the intersection of sports and video games, today celebrates the launch of Playbook Football World Cup with bet365, as anticipation builds for the biggest football tournament in the world.

Although the partnership is non-exclusive, Playbook Football has been a hit with bet365 customers across multiple territories including the UK, Brazil and the Netherlands since its launch earlier this year, earning a place as one of the operator’s top titles since going live. Its success reflects what both companies see as a shift in what players want from operators: experiences that offer depth, progression and personality, sitting alongside traditional sports betting. 

Playbook Football World Cup gives Bet365 customers a new way to engage with the tournament. Players can build their own international squad and complete daily and weekly challenges throughout the World Cup to earn rewards, packs and new International Player Cards. They can also purchase and unlock packs of International Player Cards to strengthen their team, while taking advantage of daily campaigns and content drops throughout the tournament.

The game offers something distinct from traditional sports-themed games: a long-form, collectible experience that gives a reason to return to Bet365 each day for the duration of the World Cup. In Brazil, the partnership goes a step further with a fully rebranded, market-exclusive version of the game for Bet365’s Brazilian customers, Seleção365, due to be released shortly after the global version.
