Yggdrasil signs landmark multi-year Studio in a Box partnership with Eeze
Yggdrasil has successfully signed a landmark multi-year agreement with Eeze, marking the first partnership to leverage its Studio in a Box programme to develop and launch a dedicated portfolio of new slot content, now faster than ever.
The agreement represents a significant milestone for Yggdrasil’s strategic vision to transform how games are developed and brought to market – helping the industry break away from endless reskins and dull content. Through the Studio in a Box programme, Eeze will have the advantage of using Yggdrasil’s innovative Game in a Box technology to build and launch original slots, without the cost and complexity that comes with traditional game development.
After years of conversations with operators, suppliers and entrepreneurs, one thing became clear: the market was missing a true end-to-end game creation solution. Studio in a Box brings together Yggdrasil’s technology, development expertise, publishing capabilities and global distribution network under one roof, giving partners everything they need to turn ideas into games.
Game in a Box is Yggdrasil’s proprietary game development platform, created over the past two years to transform how online casino games are built and launched. Combining advanced automation, machine learning and AI-assisted development tools, Game in a Box significantly accelerates the creation of game mathematics, game logic and source code, reducing development timelines while maintaining the highest standards of quality and performance.
The first two new Eeze titles are expected to launch towards the end of the year, with a planned release cadence of two new games per month across multiple regulated markets thereafter.
James Curwen, chief executive officer at Yggdrasil, said: “From the first conversations with Eeze, it was clear they had the ambition, the ideas and the commercial drive to build something meaningful. What they needed was the framework to do it at scale.
“That’s exactly why we created Studio in a Box. We kept hearing the same thing from businesses across the industry: they wanted more control over their content roadmap, but didn’t want the cost and complexity that comes with building a large development operation from scratch.
“Seeing Eeze become the first partner to embrace this model is hugely exciting for us.”
Graeme Powrie, chief commercial officer at Eeze, said: “This partnership with Yggdrasil is an important step in accelerating Eeze’s long‑term ambition. Studio in a Box allows us to scale our slots strategy at pace, extend our reach in the market and build on the work already done to position Eeze as a dynamic provider.
“It sets us up strongly for the future as we continue to grow as a multi‑vertical supplier.”
