Yggdrasil launches YGG Champions, a new house-of-brands programme for distinct studios and creators

New proposition launches with three studios joining YGG Champions: Suits & Royals, Slightly Edgy and Fish & Chips.

Yggdrasil today announced the launch of YGG Champions, a new house-of-brands programme created to support distinct game studios, brands and creators.

It has been created to give Yggdrasil-backed studios a clear home within the full portfolio – and reflects Yggdrasil’s belief that different player segments and market opportunities are best served by focused creative teams with their own identities, rather than by extending a single core brand across every product direction.

Under the model, each YGG Champions studio operates with its own voice, product philosophy, creative direction and relationship with players and operators. Yggdrasil’s role is to provide the support structure behind the brand, including investment, production expertise, platform access, commercial network and selected technology support.

For the studios launching within the programme, Yggdrasil’s Game in a Box tool provides a common technical foundation, giving teams access to proven development infrastructure while allowing them to focus on game design, mechanics, themes and player experience.

Tomasz Kowalik, managing & product director at Yggdrasil, said:  “Great creative brands are built around clear audiences and strong identities. YGG Champions allows specialist studios to stay true to their own creative vision while benefiting from Yggdrasil’s technology, operational support, publishing strength and distribution scale. The goal is not to create sub-brands of Yggdrasil, but to enable distinctive brands to grow on their own terms.”

YGG Champions marks the next step in Yggdrasil’s portfolio evolution: a way to back bold studios, unlock new market opportunities and bring more distinctive game experiences to operators and players around the world.
