Gaming Corps signs content partnership with Veikkaus ahead of Finland’s 2027 market opening

Gaming Corps, a publicly listed game development company based in Sweden, has signed a major content partnership with Veikkaus, Finland’s state-owned gaming operator, as the company steps up preparations for the country’s move to a competitive licence-based gambling market in 2027.

The initial launch will focus on Gaming Corps’ growing slots catalogue, bringing a mix of established titles, distinctive mechanics and recognisable IP to Veikkaus players. The partnership also creates scope for the relationship to develop over time, drawing on Gaming Corps’ wider portfolio of table, mine, plinko and multiplier games, alongside proprietary products including Smash4Cash, A-MAZE-CADES and X-MY-WAY.

A key part of Gaming Corps’ slots offering is its 3 Pigs franchise, which has grown into one of the studio’s most popular IPs. Across the series, Gaming Corps has continued to reinvent the familiar characters through different themes, features and gameplay styles.

Veikkaus has been at the heart of Finnish gaming for more than 85 years and today serves close to 2.7 million registered customers. Its games span lottery, sports betting, icasino and instants, with its online store, veikkaus.fi, one of the largest e-commerce sites in Finland. Alongside its significant digital presence, Veikkaus also operates an extensive land-based network, including Casino Helsinki and 44 gaming arcades across the country.

The venture comes at a pivotal point for the Finnish market. Finland will move to a licence-based system on 1 July 2027, opening online casino and betting to licensed competition and ending Veikkaus’ current exclusivity across those verticals. Veikkaus has already begun reshaping its business for the new environment with new supplier relationships, including its partnership with Gaming Corps, forming part of that preparation.

Graham Greensmith, chief commercial officer at Gaming Corps, said: “Veikkaus is one of the most established names in European gaming, with an extraordinary reach and relationship with players in Finland. The market is now approaching one of the biggest changes in its history, so this is a particularly exciting time for us to begin working together.

“What stands out for us most is the chance to add something very different to the Veikkaus portfolio. We’ve built Gaming Corps around variety, with inventive mechanics, fresh concepts and a broad mix of gameplay experiences. That breadth can be a real advantage as competition in Finland increases.”

Riikka Seppänen, vice president, icasino at Veikkaus, said: “Gaming Corps has been superb to work with, delivering its content in record time and with real precision. That speed

and execution is hugely valuable to us, and their arrival comes at a great time as we continue preparing for the changes ahead in Finland.

“They bring a strong and distinctive slots portfolio that fits well with what we’re looking to achieve and we’re super excited to get the games live and in front of our players.”
