With the new role, all marketing functions at DraftKings will be placed under Sherman’s leadership.

Sherman (pictured below) joined DraftKings in 2013, soon after its creation as a daily fantasy sports operator, and had held the role of senior vice-president for marketing for her entire time at the business. In this role, she dealt with customer acquisition and direct response marketing.

“When I started at DraftKings nine years ago, there was a genuine and collective sense that we were building something special and, zooming out to today, that has been validated more than I could have ever imagined,” she said.

“For all the accomplishments we’ve celebrated and adversity we’ve overcome, I take on this new position knowing there is still so much opportunity ahead along with brilliant people ready to deliver.”

Before joining DraftKings, Sherman was offline acquisition manager for ecommerce business VistaPrint.

The operator’s co-founders, chief executive Jason Robins, North America president Matthew Kalish and global technology and product president Paul Liberman, worked together at VistaPrint before founding DraftKings in 2012.
