| By Robert Fletcher
iGaming content supplier Bragg Gaming Group has appointed Paul Godfrey, a former politician and previously chairman of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG), to its board of directors.

Godfrey joins the Bragg board immediately and will be responsible for guiding the supplier’s strategy in Canada.

Aside from his time leading the OLG, Godfrey served in a number of other senior business roles during his career, including as publisher and chief executive of Toronto Sun Publishing.

Godfrey also founded Canada-facing media conglomerate Postmedia in 2010 and remains its chairman, while he currently also serves as chairman of the board of trustees at RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust and on the board of directors of Canadian airline Cargojet.

Earlier in his career, Godfrey was president and chief executive of Canada-based Major League Baseball franchise the Toronto Blue Jays and was a part of the team that oversaw construction of Toronto’s SkyDome, which is now known as Rogers Centre.
