Betclic Everest Group has announced that it is to close its Everest Poker online gaming website in France.

In an email to customers, Betclic Everest confirmed that the website will cease operations on May 31, with players being given the option to migrate funds and their VIP status to Betclic’s platform.

Players that have not migrated by October of this year will be automatically be refunded and have their accounts closed.

According to CardsChat.com, Isabelle Andres, chief executive of Betclic Everest, said: “There was no logic in maintaining two poker sites in the French market.

“We keep all our ambition and are confident that our customers will benefit from Betclic’s a quality poker offering.”
