Casino Zürichsee launches live casino with Playtech
Swiss Casinos-operated Casino Zürichsee has expanded its relationship with Playtech to launch a new live casino service and jackpot casino games on its new online gambling platform in Switzerland.
Playtech supported Casino Zürichsee with the roll out of its platform earlier this month, and the operator will now bolster this offering by becoming the first online casino in Switzerland to launch both live casino and jackpot casino games.
Players will have access to the entire Playtech casino and live casino technology suite via desktop and mobile devices, with a single wallet and single account
Playtech powers its casino games and live casino services using its Playtech IMS player management platform and data-driven business intelligence technology.
“Swiss Casinos has successfully established itself as the market leader for land-based casinos in Switzerland,” Swiss Casino Group chief executive, Marc Baumann, said. “Choosing the partner for the online platform then was our top priority and we are delighted to partner with Playtech.
“In our partnership with Playtech, we want to continue the success story of Swiss Casinos in the online market as well. The outstanding offer, the high competence of the team and the flexibility in adapting to the regulatory requirements have laid the foundation for a successful and long-term cooperation.”
Shimon Akad, chief operating officer of Playtech, added: “Live casino is a hugely exciting growth area for Playtech, and we’re proud to partner with Swiss Casino on Switzerland’s first venture into this space. They are the ideal company to introduce Live to the country given their leading market position in Switzerland.
“Playtech has always maintained a focus on being the partner of choice across regulated and newly regulated markets. This kind of partnership, opening up a new sector in a newly regulated market, is a perfect example of our strategy in action.”
In June, Casino Zürichsee was one of four Swiss land-based casinos to have its application for an igaming licence approved by the Swiss National Council, the Bundesrat. Grand Casino Baden, Casino Davos and Grand Casino Luzern also picked up licences and all operators have since launched their online offerings.
Grand Casino Luzern is working with Åland Islands-based Paf, while the Grand Casino Baden offering is being powered by platform provider Gamanza.
Casino Davos was the final operator to launch this month through a partnership with Ardent Group’s Gaming1 online casino solutions provider subsidiary.
