Contagious Gaming has announced that it has been granted a Combined Remote Operating Licence by the UK Gambling Commission regulatory body.

The licence, awarded through its Contagious Sports subsidiary, will allow the company to provide facilities for real event and virtual betting, as well as operate a casino in the UK.

Contagious already holds a Remote Operating Licence in the UK, under which it has been offering pool betting services, in addition to manufacturing, supplying, installing and adapting gambling software.

Peter Glancy, chief executive and director of Contagious, said: “Securing the expanded gaming licence is an important step for the company as it allows us to maximise and expand our technology from our existing pool betting offering by adding additional gaming opportunities and allows the company to deploy and operate a comprehensive set of online gambling products including, virtual sports, casino and live in play sports-book on a white label and direct basis.”
