Mediatech Solutions has agreed a deal to supply Dutch land-based casino chain Fair Play with a new online casino.

Under the agreement, Mediatech will utilise its IRIS platform to launch the new Malta-licensed Fairplay Online brand this summer.

Fairplay Online, part of JH Group, will feature a selection of real-money gaming content, including various slots titles from Microgaming.

Although online gambling is not yet legal in the Netherlands, legislation that will allow this form of gaming is widely expected to be passed by the end of 2017.

“We’re excited about the next stage in JH Group’s journey, taking our respected retail brand into the growing online gaming space,” Fairplay Online manager Carel Meijer said.

“We already knew Mediatech well from working together on our social gaming site, so there was no question as to where we would turn when looking for a RMG platform provider.”

Jessica Ordovas, chief executive of Mediatech, added: “Fair Play has extensive land-based heritage in the Netherlands and can replicate this success online by leveraging our products and services to create a world-class offering.

“With new regulation on the horizon, the Netherlands is set to become an important part of Mediatech’s fast-expanding global footprint. We have been investing heavily there and believe in its success once the final legislation is published.”
