Nevada gambling revenue down 23% in November

The Nevada Gaming Control Board has reported a 23% year-on-year decline in gambling revenue in November 2017.

Overall gaming revenue for the month came in at $909m (€753.4m), down from $930.4m in November 2016 and also a sharp decline on the $988.7m reported in October 2017.

The Gaming Control Board attributed most of the losses to gaming activities on the Nevada city’s famous Strip, where table win decreased 16.8% year-on-year to $215.6m.

Blackjack win on the Strip also fell 14.5%, as punters were more successful at the table, while baccarat win slumped 25% year-on-year to $63.2m.

In addition, the amount wagered on sports across the Strip fell 2.2% to $5.4m, with the hold down from 3.98% in November 2016 to 1.03%.
