New Jersey online gaming win rises in May
New Jersey has revealed year-on-year online gambling revenue growth in May, despite a drop in overall win during the month.
Online gaming win amounted to $24.3m (€21m) last month, up 15.3% on May 2017.
The total also represents an increase on the $23m posted in April this year, but was not enough to beat the monthly revenue record of $25.8m set in March.
Casino win for May dropped 7.2% year-on-year to $193.4m, with total gaming win for the month down 5.1% to $217.7m as a result.
Internet gaming win for the year-to-date stands at $116.9m, up 15.5% on the same point last year, but casino win was down 6.3% to $910.1m.
Total gaming win for the five months to the end of May amounted to $1.03bn, down 4.3% on last year.
Confirmation of the results comes after New Jersey last week began accepting the first sports wagers under new laws in the state.
