New Jersey online gaming win up 24.9% in 2017

Online gaming win New Jersey totalled $245.6m (€201.2m) in 2017, an increase of 24.9% on the previous year and a record for the US state.

This amount represents the highest annual total since New Jersey first regulated online gambling activities in November 2013.

In November, the NJDGE also revealed that the state had been able to generate a total of $682.6m in online gaming revenue since regulation.

Figures from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) also show growth across the wider gambling market, with casino win for the year up 0.3% to $2.41bn in 2017.

Overall, total gaming win in New Jersey for the 12 months to December 31, 2017, amounted to $2.66bn, up 2.2% on the previous year.

The annual growth comes after a mixed December for New Jersey, during which online gaming win climbed 12.9% year-on-year to $20.8m, but casino win fell 1.8% to $186.2m.

Total gaming win in December came in at $208.1m, down from $207m in the same month in 2016.
