New Jersey reveals online gaming growth in August

New Jersey was able to follow a continuing trend in August after posting further year-on-year revenue growth within its regulated online gaming market.
Online gaming win for the month came in at $16.1 million (€14.3 million) according to the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE), which represents an increase of 31.6% on the total collected in August 2015, but lower than the $17.4 million generated in July this year.
While online gaming recorded year-on-year growth, the NJDGE said casino win in August came in at $229.8 million, 6.7% down on last year.
As a result, total gaming win for the month amounted to $245.9 million, 4.9% lower than the $258.6 million posted in August 2015.
For the year-to-date through to the end of August, online gaming win stands at $128.3 million, up 32.6% on the same point last year, while total gaming win is up 2% to $1.77 billion.
Casino win for the first eight months of the year is also slightly up to just under $1.64 billion.
