Casino software developer Playson has appointed Global Gaming and Aspire Global veteran Lars Kollind as business development manager.

Casino software developer Playson has named Lars Kollind, formerly of Global Gaming and Aspire Global, as its new business development manager.

Based at the Playson headquarters in Malta, Kollind will lead efforts to expand into new markets.

Kollind most recently served as head of B2B at Global Gaming Group, but left the company in November 2018 when it opted to terminate its B2B operations in order to focus on B2C activities.

Prior to this, Kollind spent 18 months as global sales director at Aspire Global and also had spells with NexusGuard, BlingCity Casino, Win Technologies and Bet24 earlier in his career.

“I am thrilled to join Playson, and I’m confident that my skills and experience, along with the quality of its portfolio, will enable me to achieve great results,” he said. “Playson’s experience across multiple sectors, as well as its state-of-the-art slots give it great potential.”

Playson managing director, Ivan Farrugia, added: “I’m very confident Lars will play a major role in helping us achieve our growth targets and contribute to our success for many years to come, as we look to take the business to the next level.”

The appointment comes after Playson was recently awarded a licence by the Malta Gaming Authority, allowing the developer to work with operators also licensed in the country.

In addition, Playson has applied for a licence in Sweden and expects to receive approval to operate in the newly regulated market in the coming weeks.
