Amaya-owned gaming operator PokerStars has passed a significant milestone by signing up its 100 millionth registered player.

The player, ‘ArtiB73’, created an account on the operator’s PokerStars.fr website last week.

To celebrate the achievement, PokerStars, which also operates alongside various sister brands such as Full Tilt, will run a month-long promotion throughout February.

Due to launch today (Monday), the ‘PokerStars 100 million Celebration’ will give players the opportunity to win prizes by competing in various challenges.

Running from February 1-14, the ‘VIP Step Challenge’ will invite players to earn the operator’s ‘StarsCoin’ currency by completing certain steps, with more than 100 million StarsCoin on offer.

Meanwhile, the PokerStars Milestone Challenges from February 15-29 will see players complete daily challenges related to various landmarks in the brand’s history in order to win random rewards worth up to $100,000 (€92,100) in cash.

In addition, the ‘$100,000 Added VIP Club Tournament’ on February 27 will enable players compete in a special VIP event for an entry price of 50 StarsCoin.
