Software provider expands its Spanish partner portfolio through deal with major Barcelona venue’s online site

Pragmatic Play has expanded its reach in Spain through a new supply agreement with Casino Barcelona Online, the iGaming offering of the Grup Peralada-owned venue.

The Malta-based software provider will supply a portfolio of more than 100 video slots, including hit title Wolf Gold, to the operator.

The move comes just three months after Pragmatic Play entered the Spanish market with Casino777, and through a content distribution deal with Digital Distribution Management Ibérica. It was awarded a licence by the Spanish gambling regulator Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ) last year.

“We are delighted to continue to enhance our footprint in Spain after agreeing this deal with Casino Barcelona,” Pragmatic Play chief commercial officer Melissa Summerfield said. “We are always looking to grow in regulated markets, and we are very pleased that this deal with Casino Barcelona is the latest in a long line of agreements that we have signed in Spain this year.”

Xavier Ballester, director of Casino Barcelona Online, added: “Pragmatic Play is consistently producing engaging and immersive content, by its thematic and with high quality production levels, to both online and land-based casino players.

“Also, Pragmatic Play games have proven to be hits in other international markets,” Ballester explained. “So, through the signature of this agreement, we hope to enjoy a long and successful partnership with them.”

The company has also recently signed agreements to move into the Portuguese and Italian markets, with Solverde and Kindred Group respectively.
