Spain iGaming Dashboard: Q3 2017

Online sports betting drove a 37% year-on-year increase in total dot.es revenues in Q3 2017, with licensed sports betting operators returning more than €30m in September

The data is updated quarterly following the official release of the figures by Spanish regulator the Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling (DGOJ).

Senior partner at Ficom, Christian Tirabassi, said: “The Spanish online gaming and betting market continued its exponential growth in the third quarter of 2017, both on YoY and quarterly revenue growth, reaching €140m in 3Q.

“This means a 37% increase in gross gaming revenues or GGR in the third quarter despite a 3% decrease in advertising spending, according to figures from the Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling (DGOJ).”
