Gambling operator Stanleybet Group has appointed Christian Maglia as chief commercial officer of its B2B subsidiary, Magellan Robotech.

Maglia joins Stanleybet having most recently served as chief commercial officer for platform and games provider WeAreCasino, prior to which he had a spell as head of sales for Lithuanian games and lotteries producer BetGamesTV.

Earlier in his career, Maglia served as director of sales for sports data giant Sportradar and also worked for a number of payment processors.

“Many of Magellan’s projects offer a startlingly clear vision of the future and are incredibly innovative,” Maglia said. “I’m certain that in the months to come we’ll manage to implement our growth strategy for the group and become a point of reference for the sector, in Europe and worldwide, drawing on the experience gained in recent years in Africa, Asia and Latin America.”

Stanleybet CEO, Giovanni Garrisi, added: “Christian is an established industry leader who has consistently met goals over the course of his career. Even for our standards, he appears skilled at guiding procedures in which the development of operations, vision and business strategies merge to optimise growth of a company such as Magellan.”

Established in 2014, Magellan Robotech provides a range of B2B products and services, including an igaming platform, pre-match and in-play betting solutions for the retail market, and a range of virtual sports games.
