Vermantia has secured a retail content management deal with Lottomatica, an Italian gaming operator and member of the IGT Group.

Under the agreement, Lottomatica will migrate its retail content management onto ‘Vermantia Retail’ broadcast services, while Vermantia’s point-of-sale technology will be placed in its betting shops across the country.

Lottomatica will also gain access to the ‘Vermantia Connect’ content portfolio, with a focus on live sports and virtual games services.

Through the initial launch, Vermantia will broadcast and operate three bespoke gaming channels for Lottomatica’s retail network – a live sports channel that will be delivered in partnership with Perform Group and two virtual sports channels as part of an agreement with Inspired Gaming.

“This partnership will not only support Lottomatica’s objective of growing its retail live betting service but will also set the foundations for the creation of a new and innovative concept of retail betting proposition,” Lottomatica Scommesse chief executive Ludovico Calvi said.

Filippos Antonopoulos, chief executive of Vermantia, added: “Lottomatica has a leading position in the Italian market, and this agreement demonstrates the appeal and benefits that Vermantia’s gaming content and retail solutions deliver to the market.”

Meanwhile, Vermantia has agreed a deal for Dominican Republic-based betting firm Juancito Sport to launch its range of virtual gaming content.

Juancito will gain access to Vermantia Connect and a portfolio of more than 12 virtual games, which will be delivered across the operator’s retail network.

The initial rollout includes ‘Horse Racing Roulette’, a tailor-made virtual game created by Vermantia in partnership with Kiron Interactive.

The new service will be offered through Soll Systems’ central platform as a fully integrated end-to-end solution.

Richard de los Santos, managing director of Juancito, said: “Our selection process was based on a proven capability in delivering virtual gaming content of the highest quality and variety, as well as an in-depth understanding of the players’ needs in our local market.”
