New title blends the mechanics of Smash with ELA Games' character design.

ELA Games, a studio developing high-end animated games, and Octoplay, a trend-setting innovative game developer, have joined forces to develop a unique game for specific partners.

The game, titled Axe Smash, utilises the mechanics of Smash with ELA Games’ character design. Axe Smash will present the story of lumberjack Bobby Woods, who chops down a powerful money tree in a secret and legendary forest with an axe, from which cash rains down with every successful hit. When Bobby really gets into the rhythm it activates the frenzy mode where Bobby pulls out a chainsaw to the tree, releasing massive amounts of wealth!

This new release will be available to partners from 19 January. Michael Cini, business owner of ELA Games described the upcoming title as “a truly unique release for our industry and it really shows the power of collaboration and what can be achieved when great minds are brought together”.

Speaking about the prospects of the collaboration, Cini expressed confidence: “Octoplay has combined their mechanics with inspiration from ELA Games. We are glad to support this unique product and are very excited to see this go live. Axe Smash is based on advanced gamification features, the gameplay looks incredible and it’s a great opportunity to showcase our work at ICE London.”

Nick Vuchev, commercial director of Octoplay, added: “Octoplay is thrilled to collaborate with ELA Games on the innovative Axe Smash game. Our commitment to providing unparalleled gaming experiences aligns perfectly with the creative prowess of ELA Games. We are confident that Axe Smash will be a hit with players, combining the best of mechanics, design and user experience. As we prepare for the showcase at ICE London, we are eager to demonstrate how Octoplay continues to expand the horizons of entertainment and technology.”

Axe Smash is certified under the MGA licence, a guarantee of industry standards and quality. It will be released ahead of London’s ICE 2024 exhibition, where ELA Games and Octoplay will showcase their new developments and services on their stands.
