AvatarUX goes retro with glam rock 80sPop

Award-winning slots studio AvatarUX has gone back to the colourful party days of yesteryear in its musical-themed new slot, 80sPop, bringing back the hugely popular PopWins mechanic.

80sPop sees players initially faced with a 5×3 grid filled with electric guitars, drums, musical notes and a star-studded band complete with eye-catching makeup, with every reel expanding when a successful winning combination occurs.

In base play, reels can hit six symbols tall and eight in free spins. If all symbols hit six cells high, a multiplier count starts, increasing by +1x for every winning combination. In addition, this will also trigger the free spins, which builds upon the existing multiplier, without it resetting between each spin.

The top paying star symbol has a boosted payout in free spins, respective of how tall the reels are. If they reach a full eight cells high, a 4x multiplier is attached to the symbol for the rest of the round.

Before free spins, players can spin a gamble wheel offering up to five more free spins. During the bonus game, if all reels hit their maximum height, an additional two spins are also awarded.

In certain jurisdictions, players can progress directly to the bonus via the buy feature, for 85x their stake.

80sPop is the latest slot added to AvatarUX’s expansive portfolio. The title is initially available exclusively to AvatarUX’s partners with direct integrations and will be rolled out globally later.

Lara Falzon, CEO at AvatarUX, said: “80sPop sees us take our classic PopWins mechanic and puts it on a party theme like no others.

“Heralding back to the star-studded days of glam rock, it’s a fun artistic title that gives players plenty of thrills in search of a max win of 20,000x.”
