Checkd Dev expands Opta deal with Stats Perform
Sports betting technology specialist Checkd Dev, part of award-winning Checkd Group, has signed an expanded sports data licensing deal with long-term partner and Opta data owner Stats Perform.
The new multiyear agreement enables licensed operators to embed Checkd Dev’s Opta data-powered Smart Acca interactive betting tool into market pages for football and US sports in their online and mobile sportsbooks.
Checkd Dev’s Smart Acca product was originally built for its award-winning Betting Hub app to help bettors quickly interrogate detailed and trusted Opta team and player stats contextual to their potential bets, across multiple games and competitions, and see odds for that bet.
It delivers a slick path to bet placement for recreational gamblers, targeting those building accumulator (also known as multi or parlay) bets, which are booming in popularity, but typically are harder for sportsbooks to provide stats and insights to help bettors make informed decisions.
Smart Acca is currently delivering high conversion to bet placement, with data analysis showing that users also add more legs to accumulator bets than average, leading to superior margins for operators.
The Smart Acca API is already powering pre-match betting research into football markets like goalscorers, shots, shots on target and fouls inside sportsbooks in the UK like Sky Bet, William Hill and Paddy Power, keeping bettors on-site, instead of needing to leave to research their bets.
The latest success for Checkd Dev follows the launch of the Boxing News app and the creation of the North America-focused FlashPicks app. Based on Betting Hub technology, it also utilises historical Opta data feeds.
