New appointment joins as chief compliance officer.
Delasport has announced that Filippo Ferri has been appointed chief compliance officer and is the latest addition to the ever-growing list of talented professionals that are joining the company. The decision to appoint Ferri is a further sign of Delasport’s commitment to pursuing and achieving excellence within the global regulated market space.
In his role, Ferri will be responsible for overseeing corporate compliance and enterprise risk management with all international licensing requirements related to online sports betting and casino operations.
Filippo brings to Delasport extensive compliance expertise, gained at the forefront of the online gaming industry over the past 16 years. While at Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), NMi Certin and BMM Testlabs he supported local European and LatAm regulators with the shaping of the regulatory frameworks of their jurisdictions. He has worked with large suppliers in the industry to fuel their international expansion, and most recently as CCO of Maxima Compliance pioneered outsourced compliance services, also into the US.
Commenting on the appointment, Oren Cohen Shwartz, CEO, said: “We are very pleased with Filippo joining the management team. His vast experience in compliance and regulatory affairs is a great addition to propel Delasport’s strategy to rapidly expand its global reach.”
Following his appointment, Ferri said: “I am thrilled to join Delasport as its outstanding proprietary sports betting platform, built by true veterans of the igaming industry, pursues rapid expansion across more regulated markets. I am honoured to form part of the team that will take the company to new heights and will work tirelessly to make sure compliance will be an instrumental component of its growth.”
