Three shortlisted for Gambling Industry Journalist of the Year award

Gambling Industry Journalist of the Year to be contested between the finest the gambling industry specialist press has to offer.

The organisers of The Gambling Book Awards are delighted to announce the shortlist for the Gambling Industry Journalist of the Year award (GIJOTY, because you can’t beat a catchy acronym).

The award, the brainchild of Fintan Costello and Jon Bruford, co-hosts of The Gambling Files podcast, aims to reward excellence in industry journalism with meaningful prizes.

Awarded during the European Casino Awards as part of the Gambling Book Awards, the main prize is £4,000 to the winner, with £1,000 for each of the runners-up.

The ECA event is on 19 January at the Renaissance Barcelona Fira hotel.

“There are some terrific writers in the gambling industry, and some solid journalism. Launching this as part of the Gambling Book Awards just made sense to us as fans of great writing,” said Fintan Costello, co-founder of the awards.

The Gambling Book Awards was established by Bruford and Costello this year, to celebrate industry literature and the authors that keepp the gambling sector alive. Winners will also be announced during the ceremony.
