A new roundtable has been added to this year’s Federal Congress on Gaming and Gambling in Germany.

Organised by iGB’s partner Glueckspielwesen.de, the congress will take place in Berlin at Maritim Hotel proArte on 4-5 October. The newly announced discussion – Roundtable on UK & Germany: The hot issues – will take place on 5 October from 13:00-14:15 and will be held in English.

Among the topics to be discussed will be the UK’s Gambling Act review and the repercussions for the industry. From a German standpoint, the panel will examine the challenges faced by licensed operators after more than two and a half years of GlüStV 2021. What need is there for reform from the operators’ point of view and what lessons can Germany learn from other regulated markets?

The roundtable will be moderated by Dr Wulf Hambach from Hambach & Hambach and will feature:

– Wes Himes, executive director, standards and innovation, Betting & Gambling Council UK

– Sam Brown, CEO, Rootz Ltd

– Claus Hambach, founding partner, Hambach & Hambach Rechtsanwälte

– Yannick Skulski, salary partner, Hambach & Hambach Rechtsanwälte
