OpenGaming plays pivotal role in delivering Swedish developer’s content to lottery

Light & Wonder has further enhanced its partnership with Fantasma Games after delivering the slot developer’s content to Loto-Québec.

The launch with the Canadian lottery marks Fantasma’s entry into the country, demonstrating the power of the OpenGaming content aggregation platform in enabling studios to extend their international reach and penetrate new markets.

As part of this latest collaboration, Fantasma’s exciting range of titles are now live with Loto-Québec’s online casino offering, including “Bounty Showdown”. In addition, the OpenGaming platform will provide further opportunities for the slot developer to build its presence in Canada, with Light & Wonder holding an impressive network of operator and lottery clients across the region.

The Stockholm based game studio and its full portfolio of slots have been integrated within the OpenGaming ecosystem since 2021 after the two companies agreed a global content distribution agreement.

This latest launch reaffirms Light & Wonder as the leading cross-platform global game company, delivering immersive content for operators, lotteries and tribes worldwide, as well as providing a platform for major international expansion for third party studios.

Steve Mayes, Director of Partnerships at Light & Wonder, said: “Fantasma Games is highly regarded amongst our OpenGaming operating partners, which recognize the studio’s ability to develop fun and immersive games. As the leading content aggregation platform provider to the global igaming industry, we understand the important role we can play in providing a route to new markets for developers such as Fantasma Games. We are proud to have supported the company’s entry into Canada and believe its games portfolio will resonate with a wide audience.”

Fredrik Johansson, founder at Fantasma Games, said: “We are incredibly excited to see our games go live with Loto-Québec and to be able to enter the Canadian market through Light & Wonder. Expanding into new markets is hugely important for our overall strategy and OpenGaming’s global reach is exactly why partnered with Light & Wonder in the first place. This is our first releases of many to come and we believe that our uniqueness and innovative games will be interesting for the players and operators in Canada.

“The Light & Wonder team are great to work with and we truly appreciate their support in allowing us to enter Canada.”
