Moon Intelligence launches Venture Capital platform for betting startups
Moon Intelligence, the London-based provider of tailored solutions to market makers and betting syndicates worldwide, has launched a new Venture Capital platform to attract entrepreneurs in the gambling space who are in the early stages of growing their business.
The company’s new platform is designed to provide betting startups with crucial funding and mentoring to help scale their projects, along with access to Moon Intelligence’s extensive data and network of partners.
Establishing a Venture Capital arm is set to support the provider’s expansion strategy into the US and further strengthen its existing product offering. It aims to supply US prediction markets with deeper liquidity across a large number of sports and markets through its proprietary market making trading model and team of 50 analysts across 35 countries.
Alexandre Luneau, co-founder and CEO of Moon Intelligence, said: “We are open to working with various types of projects. If you’re a pro bettor struggling to scale, then talk to us. Are you building the next big product in the industry but need some support? Reach out. We hope that by launching an official Venture Capital arm for the company, we can grab more attention from entrepreneurs who need an experienced partner.”
The launch builds on initial success Moon Intelligence has achieved when investing in startups and entrepreneurs. Recently, the company invested in football data specialist StatsBomb, which successfully exited when Hudl acquired the organisation in 2024.
A unique partnership with Project Football secured the exclusive services of a high-performance football quant who developed his own proprietary predictive model. By investing in this sole trader, it allowed the company to integrate independent, cutting-edge analytics into its broader trading and risk management ecosystem while maintaining full exclusivity over the output.
Sebastien Sabic, co-founder and chief strategy officer at Moon Intelligence, said: “The initial wave of investments we made in startups and entrepreneurs proved highly beneficial for the company, and showcases our flexibility in how we can develop concepts to new heights. Our unconventional yet highly successful partnership with Project football saw us invest in a sole trader who had the edge in certain football leagues. By helping the trader grow his coverage with access to more data, it enhanced both his personal trading and Moon Intelligence’s wider offering. We’re always on the lookout for these smaller but sharp-type professional punters to help them grow and find mutually beneficial deals.”
