Octoplay granted interim authorisation in Pennsylvania, its third US state

The approval allows Octoplay to supply its games to licensed operators in Pennsylvania, one of the largest regulated iGaming markets in the country and adds to a North American footprint that already covers New Jersey, Michigan, Ontario and Alberta.

Pennsylvania becomes the third US state where Octoplay is authorised to operate in under 18 months, following the company’s New Jersey debut with BetMGM in June 2025 and its Michigan launch with BetMGM, FanDuel and Rush Street Interactive in December 2025. The approval sits within a broader North American push that most recently saw Octoplay go live in Alberta from day one with seven tier-one operators, including BetMGM, FanDuel and DraftKings.

“Regulatory approval is the foundation of everything we do commercially, and we treat it that way,” says Martina Borg Stevens, chief legal officer at Octoplay. “Pennsylvania sets one of the highest bars in the United States and we met it. That puts our content in three of the largest regulated states in the country and gives us the platform to keep building across North America.”

Octoplay is approved to operate in 20 regulated jurisdictions, including Malta, the UK, Romania, Sweden, Slovakia, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Greece, Spain, Finland, Brazil, New Jersey, Michigan, Ontario, Georgia, Croatia, Alberta and Pennsylvania.

North America remains the company’s focus market, where Octoplay ranked as the #1 New Overall Top Supplier in the Eilers & Krejcik Gaming US index for four consecutive months from April through July.
