Official fight partner GG.BET provides insights into the Usyk vs Dubois rematch
The fight for the title of undisputed heavyweight champion of the world took place at Wembley Stadium in London on 19 July. The winner was Oleksandr Usyk, who, having already unified the WBA, WBO, WBC, IBO and IBF titles, continued his journey as undefeated champion (24-0). The bout’s official partner, betting brand GG.BET, has shared some observations on its customers’ preferences for the rematch and undercard fights.
The winner (57.1%), total rounds (18.8%) and fight outcome (12.8%) markets were the most popular among GG.BET customers for the Usyk vs Dubois fight. Despite the bout being held in Dubois’ home city, and the boxer himself and his team making some bold statements about the fight at the pre-fight press conference, 67.6% of GG.BET customers bet on the Ukrainian Usyk to win if they picked the outright winner market. In the total rounds market, most customers placed bets on the fight to last less than 10.5 rounds. Technically, that’s what happened, but it was a spectacular outcome. The rematch was fast-paced from the very first round and ended surprisingly quickly in the fifth with a knockout by Usyk. And when you break the betting results down even further, they turned out to be even more intriguing.
0.25% of all bettors that bet on the evening’s big fight correctly predicted that it would end in the fifth round with an Usyk victory. 0.125% correctly predicted the exact round that the fight would end in. 1.25% of all bettors in a variety of markets correctly picked which round interval Oleksandr Usyk would win in.
One final insight into this evening of boxing concerns the support that came from Ukrainian customers. In Ukraine, from where Usyk hails, and where the brand GGBET UA operates, supporting one’s fellow countrymen is important. And this was also reflected in the platform’s results. During the fight week, GGBET UA saw a 212% increase in first deposits compared to June. An active promotional campaign among GGBET UA customers contributed to this, as well as the global brand being displayed in the ring, at official pre-fight events, and during the rematch itself.
