PXP partners with OKTO PAYMENTS to offer locally operated Latin American payment rails

| By iGB content team
One connection to PXP now reaches domestic payment methods and advanced treasury and liquidity management in LatAm, operated by OKTO’s advanced unified infrastructure.

PXP, the global payments orchestration platform, has signed a strategic partnership with OKTO PAYMENTS, the next-generation payment service provider, to bring domestic payment methods and advanced treasury management and liquidity capabilities across LatAm to PXP’s merchant base. The rails are connected directly to domestic infrastructure and operated locally by OKTO in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Argentina and beyond.

PXP processes €35 billion+ annually and has built its proposition on one connection into online, mobile and point-of-sale commerce, backed by in-house acquiring and a broad alternative payment method portfolio. This partnership with OKTO enables PXP to support LatAm merchants and end-users with expanded domestic payment methods and infrastructure, overcoming the complexity and varying regulations that span these markets.

OKTO PAYMENTS built and proved that infrastructure in LatAm market by market. Platform-wide, OKTO today processes instant payments for more than 40 international and local merchants at a total processed volume run rate of €17 billion+ annually, across ecommerce, iGaming, FX and trading, digital content and the creator economy – verticals where local compliance, approval performance and payout speed decide whether a merchant can operate at scale at all.

For PXP’s merchants, the partnership covers more than acceptance. Instant pay-ins and payouts on domestic rails sit alongside local card processing, advanced treasury and liquidity management, and settlement in a single layer. For OKTO, the agreement opens a substantial distribution channel into an enterprise merchant portfolio spanning retail, travel and hospitality, gaming and other demanding digital commerce sectors, and reinforces a partnership model the company has been building deliberately.

“PXP has built something genuinely rare – a unified platform with the acquiring capability and the enterprise merchant relationships to match it, and a team that understood from the first conversation what local depth in Latin America actually requires,” said Andre Boesing, general manager South LatAm, OKTO PAYMENTS. “That is why this partnership works. Latin America is a region with multiple challenges. Every market has its own regulator, its own banking system, its own settlement logic and its own consumer behaviour: how people expect to pay, which brands they trust at checkout, how fast they expect their money back. We have built local banking relationships, local depth and compliance capability in each market we operate, and we pair that with product depth engineered in-house – instant pay-ins and payouts on domestic rails, treasury and liquidity management, settlement and reconciliation in one layer. PXP’s merchants get all of it, seamlessly.”

Kamran Hedjri, CEO, PXP, added: “Latin America is a key market for PXP and our merchant base, and a challenging region to serve comprehensively due to the variations between each country. OKTO operates domestic rails market by market across LatAm, with the banking relationships and compliance depth each one requires, and has proven these at scale. Through this partnership, one connection into PXP will offer domestic payment methods, instant pay-ins and payouts, and treasury and liquidity management connected directly to local infrastructure across LatAm. We’re very excited for what this will enable for our merchants and to be collaborating with OKTO. “
