Pythia Sports and Racing1 bring racing to Digitain network through new integration
Horse and greyhound racing is set to become available to Digitain’s operator network for the first time, following a new partnership with data and trading specialist Pythia Sports, alongside horse and greyhound racing alliance Racing1.
With Digitain recently acquiring its UK licence, this partnership gives Digitain’s customers access to Pythia’s full horse and greyhound racing solution, covering data, pricing and trading support through a single integration. The first operator is due to go live later this summer, with technical integration on track to be completed in August.
For Digitain’s operators outside the UK/IRE, access is granted to this solution from Pythia alongside the media rights package offered by Racing1, officially known as ‘Racing1 Markets’. This coverage spans across the globe, with racing from the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, South America, the Middle East and Turkey.
Racing1 Markets brings high-frequency betting content into the mix and enables operators to access year-round global racing markets. This partnership strengthens Digitain’s sportsbook offering as operators look to diversify their portfolios with more premium racing content which can be efficiently supplied.
The integration comes as the racing calendar builds towards summer UK festivals such as Glorious Goodwood and York’s Ebor Festival, before moving on to Doncaster for the St Leger, 250 years after the Classic was first run. The calendar then moves on to the Breeders’ Cup at Keeneland, Kentucky, and the Melbourne Cup meeting in Australia, extending the run of major international fixtures available through the partnership.
Through a single integration, Digitain’s partners can offer horse and greyhound racing throughout the year and make more of the major meetings that attract the greatest interest.
Stephen Davison, head of commercial operations at Pythia Sports, said: “We’re delighted to be working with such a well-recognised brand in Digitain who are a name that’s instantly familiar to anyone in the industry. We know this was a competitive process, so it means a lot to have been chosen as their horse and greyhound racing partner. Racing can feel complex for operators, but with one integration we can wrap in data, pricing, risk management, and media rights, so Digitain and their partners get everything they need in one place. Alex Jones has already shown real drive and ambition for where he wants to take this, and we’re looking forward to building something strong together.”
Alex Jones, regional sales director at Digitain, added: “At Digitain, we’re always looking to strengthen our sportsbook offering with products that deliver real value for our partners. We’re delighted to be working with Pythia Sports and Racing1 as this allows us to introduce a comprehensive horse and greyhound racing solution through a single integration, making it easier for our partners to add premium racing content backed by trusted data, pricing, trading expertise and media rights. This partnership supports our continued growth in regulated markets and gives our partners another powerful way to engage players with world-class racing throughout the year.”
Jack Whitaker, head of commercial at ARC and spokesperson for Racing1, said: “A platform with Digitain’s scale and reputation makes this partnership very exciting for Racing1. With Digitain’s global reach and existing network, we look forward to bringing racing to new operators, tapping into new territories and audiences.”
