SOFTSWISS and WorldGaming to break down iGaming trends live
The “2027 iGaming Trends: Turning Insights into Action” event, featuring SOFTSWISS and WorldGaming (formerly Clarion Gaming) experts, takes place on 29 October 2026 at 14:00 CET.
The discussion built on the 2027 iGaming Trends report will bring together industry professionals. Robin Harrison, global content director B2B at WorldGaming and Pavel Kaplunov, head of content marketing at SOFTSWISS, will examine what is reshaping player acquisition, trust-building and competitiveness.
Rethinking the growth playbook
As acquisition costs rise and competition intensifies across regulated markets, growth strategies are being rewritten. Traditional bonus-based promotions, complex customer journeys and common approaches no longer work.
The live panel will focus on key questions that could define operator strategy in 2027:
- If bonuses can no longer be the default growth engine, what convinces players to join, stay, and return?
- How can simplicity become a competitive advantage?
- How much do certification, transparent reviews, and responsible gambling practices influence player choice?
- Who influences player choices today – operators, affiliates, or game providers?
- What can iGaming borrow from fintech, e-commerce and other industries, and which ideas will work in a regulated environment?
Turning research into action
The 2027 iGaming Trends report is the fifth edition of SOFTSWISS’ annual research. The report, written in partnership with WorldGaming, draws on insights from over 65 expert interviews, a survey of more than 500 industry professionals and analysis of over 480,000 media headlines to identify the signals behind the sector’s next major shifts.
The panellists will discuss what these trends mean for operators navigating regulated markets.
“The iGaming industry still lacks a single source of truth: data and insights are scattered across different sources,” says Pavel Kaplunov, head of content marketing at SOFTWISS. “Our 2027 iGaming Trends report aims to close this gap by looking beyond trends and exploring the data behind them.
“We bring together a broader industry perspective with granular insights to help operators better understand where the industry is heading and navigate these changes. Our goal is to make this report a go-to resource for shaping iGaming strategies in 2027 and beyond.”
“Winning in iGaming rarely follows a single formula. What works in one market can fail in the next because of differences in regulation, payments, player expectations, or how people discover brands,” adds Robin Harrison, content director B2B at WorldGaming.
“The advantage comes from knowing which lessons travel well across markets and which decisions need to stay local.”
